Apulia Diagnostic is a project carried out witg the aim of developing a modern diagnostic center in Mesagne (Puglia), specialized in genetic and oncological research. The building occupies an area of 8800 square meters and was built with reversed beams and an elevated structure in place. To allow the Apulia Diagnostic center significant energy savings, the whole building has been equipped with perimeter thermal insulation.
The fixtures installed comply with the minimum transmittance values required by the technical regulations of the sector. They also guarantee sound insulation
In particular, the building was built with foundations with inverted beams and an elevated structure in situ, using Predalles-type lattice slab floors and REP-type lattice girders.
Furthermore, all the external cladding was made with a dry system such as Knauf Aquapanel with very low levels of transmittance.
Finally, the heating/cooling of the rooms was guaranteed by a centralized system of the VRF type with heat pump.
Each room was air-conditioned with internal units of the 4-way cassette or ductable type built into the false ceiling. This plant guarantees performance coefficients of approximately 400% in both winter and summer operation, and contributes to the share of renewable sources, determining an energy class of type A for the building in question. Finally, the building is equipped with a photovoltaic system placed on the roof to make the most of renewable energy sources.
